BANDUNG, September 22, 2025 — The Inspectorate General (Itjen) of the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections (Imipas) took a strategic step in strengthening organizational governance by holding a risk management panel discussion. The event, which focused on finalizing the design and implementation plan for the electronic risk management process (E-MR Imipas), was held at the EL-Royal Hotel in Bandung from September 22 to 26, 2025. This activity served as an important forum for all ranks to align their perceptions and prepare for the adoption of a digital system that will become the backbone of internal oversight within Imipas.
One of the main highlights of this panel discussion was the session presented by Mr. Yono Maulana from PT. BWI, as the consultant entrusted with developing the E-MR Imipas platform. In his presentation, Yono Maulana explained in depth the system architecture that adopts the “Three Lines of Defense” framework. This model is designed to ensure a solid layer of defense in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across all work units, from the operational line to the internal audit function.
This event demonstrates the seriousness and full commitment of the highest leadership, as evidenced by the presence of Inspector General Imipas along with all officials and auditors within the Inspectorate General. This complete attendance underscores the importance of implementing risk management as a foundation for better decision-making and for improving performance accountability. The involvement of auditors from the early stages also ensures that the designed system will meet strict and effective oversight standards.
Through this five-day panel discussion, it is hoped that all technical designs and implementation procedures for E-MR Imipas can be finalized. The successful implementation of this system is projected to bring about a significant transformation in the risk-aware culture at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections. This will support the realization of a clean, effective government that is better able to anticipate various challenges in the future.
